Meal times

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Cherry Lodge Rest Home. We pride ourselves on the quality of our catering and the range of choice available to residents daily, with menus carefully designed with nutrition in mind. We promote individual well being through a positive and enjoyable dining experience; every resident can eat in pleasant settings and we offer full support with eating and drinking if needed so they remain hydrated and well-nourished.

Our Home offers freshly cooked, appetising and balanced meals with a different seasonal choice available every day to ensure the highest level of nutrition for residents. Our chef uses locally sourced  fresh ingredients where ever possible to prepare delicious, wholesome our kitchens, to be enjoyed throughout the day. We consult with residents on a regular basis to ensure we understand their nutritional requirements and food preferences so residents can maintain a diet they enjoy.

Our  carefully plan four-weekly menu are changed regularly, to ensure each resident enjoys a variety of meals every day of the week. Themed food days often feature alongside traditional cuisine on our menu to provide residents with variety they enjoy.

The day starts with a choice of cereals, toast, cooked or continental breakfast. At mid-morning, residents will be offered tea, coffee, and snacks such as   biscuits and cakes. A range of hot and cold dishes are on offer at lunchtime. This is often followed by an afternoon snack, home made cakes, pastries, and fruit. In the evening, each resident can choose from a wide selection of hot and cold meals. Evening and night time snacks are also available.
